Fun Filter — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026. This policy covers Fun Filter (Funny Face Filter & Challenges, com.impulse.funfilter), published by IMPULSE Teknoloji.

Summary

Fun Filter is a set of funny face filters and face challenges for the front camera. Face tracking runs on your device and the camera picture is never uploaded. The app has no accounts and no server of its own. It shows no ads. It uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the app is used.

Camera and face tracking

The app uses the camera only while the filter camera or a challenge is open. Each camera frame is analysed on your device by Google ML Kit face detection (its model is installed on your phone through Google Play services), to find the position of your face, eyes, nose, mouth and chin, whether your mouth and eyes are open, whether you are smiling and how your head is tilted. These values are used at the moment they are computed to bend the picture for the selected filter or to run the game, and are then discarded. The app does not identify people, does not create face templates, and does not store, upload or share camera frames or face data. ML Kit may send Google general information about its use (such as the device model, the app, and how long processing took) to measure and improve its performance; it does not send images or face data.

Videos you record

When you press record, the camera screen with the filter or challenge is saved as a video file on your device (in your gallery under Movies/Fun Filter). The app does not upload videos. A video only leaves your device if you choose to share it with another app.

What the app itself stores

Your best scores are stored on your device only. You can delete them by clearing the app's data in Android settings or by uninstalling the app.

Advertising

The app contains no ads and does not access the advertising ID of your device.

Usage statistics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how many people use it and which filters and challenges they open. Firebase collects an app-instance identifier (not the advertising ID), usage events (such as app opens and screen views), device model, operating system version and approximate location derived from the IP address. This data is not used for advertising. Google's handling of Firebase data is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
