Last updated: October 15, 2026. This policy covers ZipUp: Zipper Lock Screen (com.impulse.zipperlock), published by IMPULSE Teknoloji.
ZipUp shows a decorative zipper screen when you turn on your phone's screen. Everything works on your device. The app has no accounts and no server of its own. It shows no ads. It uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the app is used.
ZipUp is a cover screen for fun. It does not replace your phone's own screen lock and does not store or check any PIN, pattern or password. If your phone uses a PIN, pattern or biometrics, Android asks for it after you unzip.
To bring the zipper to the front each time the screen turns off, ZipUp asks for the "Display over other apps" permission and runs a background service with an ongoing notification while the zipper lock is on. The app does not read, record or capture what other apps show on the screen and does not read what you type. You can turn the zipper lock off at any time in the app or from the notification.
If you choose your own photo as the background, you pick it with Android's photo picker. A resized copy is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
Your chosen background, zipper style and options are stored only on your device.
The app contains no ads and does not access the advertising ID of your device.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how many people use it and which screens they open. Firebase collects an app-instance identifier (not the advertising ID), usage events (such as app opens and screen views), device model, operating system version and approximate location derived from the IP address. This data is not used for advertising. Google's handling of Firebase data is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
